H. Tuttle, at the home of her son, Alfred H. Tuttle, of Pittsburgh, Pa., Tuesday evening, was received this morning by her brother, W. B. Heath, 126 Lafayette street. Mrs. Tuttle had been at the home of her son for several weeks on account of poor health. Mrs. Tuttle was born in Lake County, Ind., in May 1860, and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred H. Heath. During the year that Captain Heath served in the war the mother and daughter returned to Michigan and at the close of the war the family settled in Berlin township, coming to Ionia in 1870. Mrs. Tuttle was so well known to Ionians that a resume of her life is unnecessary. She was educated in the Ionia schools. She was married here and many years of her life had been spent in Ionia. The number of her friends is measured only by the number of her acquaintances. Mrs. Tuttle is survived by her husband, Albert H. Tuttle, of this city, and one son, Alfred H. Tuttle, of Pittsburgh. One son, H. Foley Tuttle, died in Ionia in August, 1920. Mrs. Tuttle is also survived by two brothers, A. L. Heath, of LaJunta, Col., and W. B. Heath, of this city. The funeral party will arrive from the East, Thursday noon, and the funeral will be held from the Methodist Episcopal church Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock.
