Burton C. Tuttle, 81, of 415 Alderman, died Saturday evening at Lowell Nursing
Home, where he had been for two weeks.  He was born in Otisco Township, April 9,
1880, the son of Lewis and Mary Tuttle.  He married Erma Thompson in 1902 and
she died February 3, 1951.  He was married to Nell Steele Brown on April 5, 1954
and she died March 1, 1961.

Mr. Tuttle suffered a stroke October 5, 1954 and never recovered.  He was a life
member of Greenville Lodge, No. 96, F. & A. M. and DeWitt Clinton Consistory,
Grand Rapids.

He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Chester (Wanda) Christensen, Sidney, one
son C. Durwood Tuttle, Utica, Mich.; one son S. Kenward Tuttle, died in 1946;
two step-daughters, Mrs. Vivian Smith and Mrs. Ethelyn Childs, this city; three
grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Brown-Teman Funeral Home in
Greenville, Rev. Lawrence Gibbs officiating and burial was in Forest Home
cemetery, Greenville.
