The Belding Banner, Thursday, October 7, 1897

Mr. and Mrs. John Rossman were called to Portland Monday to attend the funeral 
of her mother, Mrs. I. E. Tyler.  She was born in New York state 69 years 
ago.  She married Deacon Tyler in January, 1860, and was mother of Otis Tyler, 
of Portland, Dr. Will Tyler, of Niles, Mich., Mrs. Addie Rossman, of Belding.  
She was a sister of the late Jefferson Hitchcock.  Mrs. Tyler has long been a 
member of the Baptist church, and with her husband, has been one of the most 
active workers in the church.
