The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Friday, November 25, 1927

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary L. Tyler, 82, who died at her home near 
Clarksville Wednesday afternoon will be held Sunday at 2 o’clock from the 
home.  Burial will be made in Bowne Center cemetery.

She came here in 1865 with her parents from Saratoga, N.Y.  She taught in the 
public schools of Ionia county, and in St. Johns, and was an active member of 
the Methodist Episcopal church at Freeport.  She was a former resident of 
Ionia.

Mrs. Tyler leaves two daughters, Mary Tyler and Mrs. Delia Myers, and a son, 
Wilbur, two grandsons, and a sister, Mrs. Phoebe Grieves.
