William H. Tyler Sr., age 65, of Hubbardston, passed away Monday, Sept. 15, 
2014, at the Spectrum Health Rehab and Nursing Center in Grand Rapids.  Bill 
was born July 22, 1949, in Carson City the oldest child of Jack and Marzella 
(King) Tyler Sr. 

He graduated from Carson City High School.  Bill worked for many years at the 
Carson City Correctional Facility, where he was a maintenance superintendent.  
Bill enjoyed building, collecting antique black smith tools, traveling up 
north, watching movies, was an avid reader and book collector and especially 
enjoyed his country property watching all kinds of animals.

He is survived by his son William H. Tyler Jr. of East Lansing; daughters 
Katherine Dockham of Carson City, Christina (Blaine Brown) Tyler of St. 
Charles; and five grandchildren Kaylee, Ariana, Noah, Damien and Kaleb.  He is 
also survived by sisters Renee Harris, Cindi Black, brothers Timothy (Kathryn) 
Tyler, Tohm Tyler, Lewis (Lori) Tyler and many nieces and nephews.He was 
preceded in death by his parents and a brother Jack Tyler Jr.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Sept. 20, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the Lux 
and Schnepp Funeral Home, Carson City.  Interment will be in Vickeryville 
Cemetery.  Visitation will be held Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral 
home.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Carson City Library.
