Ionia Standard - Fri. Feb. 19, 1892

Mrs. Udell, who has been sick for a long time, died Sunday night. Owing to the 
utter shiftlessness of the husband, the children will be obliged to go to the 
county house. The people of Bushnell are very  much incensed over the matter 
and have talked seriously of administering a dose of “white caps” on the 
worthless wretch holding the position of husband and father. Such cases are 
certainly very aggravating and ought to be dealt with in some manner.
