Uffendell were brought from Chicago Tuesday for burial here, and taken to the farm home of her brother Clyde Cooper where the funeral was held Wednesday forenoon. The deceased was formerly Catherine May Cooper, daughter of John W. Cooper and Mrs. Harl Eckert, who spent her girlhood days here and in Otisco on the old farm where she was born.. Five years ago she was married to Mr. Uffendall and has since then resided in Chicago, where her husband carried on the business of an architect and a contractor. He was engaged for a number of years on the work in Panama, where Miss Cooper met him. Mrs. Uffendell was thirty-nine years old. The funeral was largely attended and many lovely flowers were on the casket. Rev. G. W. Maxwell officiated and the remains were laid to rest in River Ridge cemetery. The remains were accompanied here by Mr. Uffendell and his partner, Richard Holmes.
