                               EVELYN S. UNDERWOOD

IONIA-Evelyn S. Underwood, 65, of Lake Odessa died at Butterworth Hospital Grand 
Rapids early Monday.

The daughter of Fred and Glendora Mallison Edinger, she was born in Berlin 
Township May 9, 1922. She was graduated from Lake Odessa High School and was 
married to Curtis Underwood July 26 1941 in Ionia .He preceded her in death 
August 30, 1983.

She was a retiree of General Tire.

Surviving are a sister Genevieve Slater or Ionia, a brother Peter Edinger of 
rural Ionia and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held from the Rich Street Chapel, Montgomery Funeral 
Home, Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Keith Bovee of Ionia First United 
Methodist Church officiating.

Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Lake Odessa.

The family will be at the funeral home Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.

A memorial for the American Cancer Society has been established in care of the 
funeral home.
