Unger, 56, died Saturday morning in his trailer home at the corner of Hackett and Yeomans streets. He was found dead in his bed by neighbors about 8:30 a.m. Saturday. Coroner Wallace H. Jackson and Deputy Sheriff Loyal Hodson were called by the neighbors. Coroner Jackson said the cause of death was a heart attack. Unger had been receiving medical treatment for a heart condition recently. He was born in Vestaburg on January 31, 1896 and attended Vestaburg schools. During World War I he served in the United States Navy and came to Ionia shortly after the war. He was employed on a farm near Ionia and then went to work as a mechanic for George H. Coe. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Sylvia Maus of West Main street. Funeral services will be conducted by the Boynton funeral home Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock with burial in Oak Hill cemetery.
