Excerpts from Grand Rapids Obituary

SHARON UPDIKE
Died Tuesday September 28, 2021-age 48.
Born December 7, 1936, daughter of Victor & Thelma Poole of Saranac, Michigan.
Preceded in death by parents, sister, Marjorie Cahoon of Belding, brother-in-aw, 
Richard Christiansen of Ionia.
Survived by  her husband, Thomas; children, Michael (Darlene) Updike ofOrlando, 
Florida, and Lynn (Brian) Karsten of Zeeland, MI.,four grandchildren; sister, 
Virginia (Richard) Christiansen o Ionia; several nieces & nephews.
Graduated from Saranac High School before marrying her husband of more than 65 
years.
Family will receive relatives & friends at Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine 
Ave., Comstock Park on Thursday, September 30, 2021 from 5-7 PM.
Celebration of Life will be at Trinity Congregation Church, 2725 4 mile Road, 
N.W., Grand Rapids on Friday, Oct.1, 2021 at 11 A.M., with visitation one hour 
prior, with Pastor Izzy Young officiating.
A private interment at Saranac cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to Trinity Congregational Church.
