She had been in poor health for some time. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Bradfield chapel, Rev Keith Avery officiating. Burial was in Portland cemetery. Mrs. Urie was born at Wellman, Mississippi, her maiden name being Nettie Leonard. She married Frank Urie 59 years ago and was a resident of Portland for about 50 years. Surviving in addition to the husband are three brothers and a sister. They are E. L. Leonard Sr., Daniel B. Leonard, William Leonard, and Mrs. Ed. Burkhalter, all of Hattiesburg, Miss. Mrs. John Barton, of Portland, is a niece and E. L. Leonard, Jr., of Portland a nephew. The deceased was a member of the Methodist church and the Rebekah lodge. Mr. Urie was ill with flu at the time of his wife’s death. Pall bearers were Anthony Spitzley, Math Hoppes, Edward Manning Jr., Arnold Fedewa, Clarence Ward and Allie Badder.
