The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, September 12, 1921
Mrs. Anna Utess, age 58, died this morning at her home, 326 North Dexter 
street, at three o’clock.  Mrs. Utess has been very ill since the first of 
March.  She is survived by her husband, John Utess, three sisters, Mrs. Carl 
Utess of Ionia, Mrs. J. Mulloney of Grand Rapids and Mrs. Joseph Marshall, 
also of Grand Rapids.  She also leaves two nephews, Albert Burden of St. 
Johns, and Louis F. Utess of this city.  The funeral will be held from the 
residence Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock, Rev. B. H. Succop.  Burial will 
take place in Highland Park cemetery.
