Earl Kneebone of the St. John’s Episcopal church officiated at the services and read the Odd Fellow ritual. Interment was in Highland Park cemetery. Bearers were Bert Bailey, George White, Thomas Rich, Karl Zander, Leon McQuillan and F. A. Marker. Those attending from out of town were Mrs. Minnie Swartz of Jackson, Charles Utess of Florida, Mrs. Richard Todd of Jackson, J. C. Pierce of Grand Rapids and Ernest Pierce of Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Members of the IOOF lodge, the Beatrice Rebekah lodge No. 100, and the encampment of the subordinate lodge attended the funeral in a body.
