Mrs. Wilhelmina Utess died at half past eight Friday night at the home of her 
son Carl, 224 East Lincoln avenue.  She was 79 years old, and leaves three 
children—Mrs. Minnie Swartz, Johnson street; John Utess, North Dexter street; 
and Carl Utess, at whose home she was living at the time of her death.  There 
are also three grandchildren.  Mrs. Utess was a widow.  Her illness had lasted 
only a short time.  The funeral was held on Monday afternoon at 1:30 at the 
home and at 2:00 o’clock at the Lutheran church, Rev. B. H. Succopp 
officiating.
