Mrs. Lucena Ada Utter, 65, of 2150 Denwood SW, Grand Rapids died unexpectedly 
Saturday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Clifford Van Ryn of 1425 
Herrick NE, Grand Rapids.

Mrs. Utter was born in Easton township and had lived the most of her life there.

Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Clifford Van Ryn, Mrs. Lyle Goff and Mrs. 
Donald Heagle of Grand Rapids; two sons Earl and Raymond Utter of Grand Rapids; 
two brothers, Arthur C. Hopkins of Ionia and Howard A. Hopkins of Battle Creek; 
one sister, Mrs. C. W. Snyder of Grand Rapids and thirteen grandchildren.  Her 
husband, Fremont Utter, died 15 years ago.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Zaagman 
Memorial chapel.  Interment will be at Garfield Park cemetery.  The family will 
be at the funeral home Sunday and Monday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
