Lake Odessa Wave-Thurs. October 10, 1974

Final Rites for Former Resident
Mrs. Myrtle B. Utter 93, former Lake Odessa area resident, passed away at the 
Medical Care Facility at St.Ignace, Michigan. She had lived with her son the 
last four year until being cared for at the Facility for a short time.

She was born June 25, 1881 at Wyoming, Michigan, the daughter of John and 
Rebecca (Miller) Moore and she and her husband Clare resided in the Lake Odessa 
area for many years. Her husband passed away December 20, 1964 and a son Gordon 
on June 16  1972. Mrs Utter attended the Grace Brethren Church when she resided 
here.

Surviving are the son Merle; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and three 
great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 1:30 at the Pickens-Koops Funeral Chapel, 
Lake Odessa. Rev. William Hertel officiated with burial in Lakeside cemetery, 
Lake Odessa.
