Oct. 11, 2008 Boots (Buford B.) Valentine, aged 90, of Lowell and formerly of Lake Odessa, passed away Thursday, Oct. 9, 2008. Boots was a lifetime member of the 398th Bomb Group, having served in Europe during WWII. He enjoyed his family and golf. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Neva; daughter Janet (Bill) Pitman of LaQuinta, Calif.; Son, Jim (Chery) Valentine of Lowell; sister, Mary Patterson of Torpon Sprigs, Fla.; grandchildren, Rosemary Ranger of Marshall and Alana (Ron) Acheson and Keith (Sara) Valentine, both of Lowell; great-grandchildren, Sebastian and Shania Ranger, Logan and Ella Acheson and McKenna Valentine and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Burton Balfour and Bernard and one sister, Margaret Buche. Honoriing Boots’ wishes, in lieu of a service, the family will be greeting friends and relatives on Sunday Oct. 19 from 1-4 p.m. at the Corner Landing (128 W.
