Lake Odessa Wave-Thurs. Oct. 19, 1961

Death Takes Carlton Center Resident
Cletus Valentine 42, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Valentine of Carlton Center, passed
away unexpectedly Friday, in Grand Rapids where he was employed with a construction
company.

Surviving besides his parents are a brother Burl of Washington, D. C. and three
sisters Mrs. Marguerite Flynn and Mrs. Shirley DeLong of Kalamazoo and Mrs. William Dawson of
Lowell.

Funeral services were held on Monday at the Leonard Funeral home with burial in the
Lakeside cemetery. Clayton is a cousin of Arvilla Murty, Emma Griebel and Lottie Barker,
local.
