Nellie Valentine Passes Away

Mrs. Nellie A. Valentine, 80 of Grand Rapids passed away Tuesday morning at 
St.Mary's Hospital. Mrs Valentine was the former Nellie Cassel and lived her 
early life in the local area on Brown Rd. Mrs.Valentine is also a former Carlton 
center and local area resident.

Surviving are her hsband Ora; two daughters Mrs.Clarence (Dorotha) Haight of 
Rockford and Mrs George (Vivian) Layle of Jenison; two sons William of Wyoming 
and Bernard of Grand Rapids; 10 grand children; 10 great-grandchildren; two 
sisters Mrs. Leola Taylor and Mrs.George (Myrtle) Tanis both of St. Petersburg, 
Florida, and a brother Roscoe Cassel of Hastings.

Funeral services were held Thursday (today) at one o'clock with burial in 
Lakeside Cemetery at the Sullivan Funeral Home, Lake Odessa.
