Mrs. Van Antwerp was a native of Canada, having been born there nearly 79 years ago. She came to Ionia County with her parents when a child of six and settled on a farm near Lyons. With the exception of four years spent at Baldor, Kansas, she had lived in Ionia County. She was of strong Christian character, and had held membership in the Church of Christ for over half a century. Surviving here are one brother of Richmond Virginia, and two children, Mrs. John Tooker of Muir, and George Van Antwerp of Toledo Ohio and three grandchildren one of whom is Clifford Tooker, postmaster of Muir. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 o'clock from the residence of Mrs. Tooker of Muir and burial will be in the Muir Cemetery.
