E.E.VanAntwerp Well Know Here
Funeral services for Elmer E.VanAntwerp, 52, former Sunfield village president 
and store operator there and in Lansing were held at 2 Monday at the Mapes 
funeral home in Sunfield. Burial was in Meadowbrook cemetery, Mulliken.

Mr VanAntwerp, a native of Ionia county and well known here, spent most of his 
boyhood in the Sunfield vicinity and later moved to Lansing where he operated a 
grocery store and was president of the Lansing Grocers & Meat Dealers 
association.

After his return to Sunfield he operated a general store for many years and 
served as village president.

In recent years he operated a real estate business and while ill conducted 
dealing form his bedside.

He was a member of Lansing BPOE lodge No. 196, Sunfield F&AM No 455, the DeWitt 
Clinton consistory and the Methodist church.

Surviving are his wife, Belle, two sons, Elmer F. of Lansing and Fred of 
Sunfield, a sister, Mrs.Gertrude  Pickens of Wyandotte, and four grandchildren
