VanBuren, 68, of Lyons, formerly of Belding, passed away Friday evening, Aug. 31, 2001 at Heartland Health Care Center in Ionia. He was born on Feb. 13, 1932 in Danby Township, near Portland, the son of Clifton and Etta Fineout VanBuren. Kenneth was a man of many talents and had traveled to many beautiful places. He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Belding and was an interior designer during his working years. He truly loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He is survived by two sisters and brother-in-laws; Ethelyn (Richard) Putney of Lyons, Virginia (Roger) Davids of Mulliken; 18 nieces and nephews, many great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews; three sister-in-laws, Lois VanBuren Ramsey, Barbara VanBuren Stob and Myrtle VanBuren Davids. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Ronald, Lawrence and Vernon. The memorial service for Kenneth will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Belding, with Pastor Gary Jacobsen officiating. No visitation will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice or Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
