Casey Morgan Van Buren, 16, of Belding died Wednesday afternoon from injuries 
sustained in a car accident.  Casey was born June 26, 1991 in Grand Rapids the 
daughter of Thomas and Sandra Norman Van Buren. 

She attended Belding High School and was a member of the Band, Drama Club, 
National Honor Society, Student Council, Golf Team and Science Olympiad. Casey 
loved the outdoors, camping, driving the boat, fishing and wake boarding. She 
was an outgoing, beautiful girl who will be greatly missed by her family and 
friends.

Casey is survived by her mother, Sandy, her second dad, Ray Groom, two 
brothers, Corey and Cody VanBuren both at home. She is also survived by her 
grandparents, Richard and Marilyn Norman, Larry Miller and Max Maple, her 
aunts and uncles, Laurie Norman, Mark Norman, Rick Norman, Paul and Kathleen 
Harrigan and Lavonn Hobbs, her very close cousins, Kyle Norman, Ryan Norman, 
Amber Myrick, Annie Hobbs, Amanda Norman, Lee Norman, Nate Blanksma, and Brad 
Blanksma. Casey was preceded by her father, Thomas and her grandmothers, Grace 
Miller and Penny Maple.

Funeral services will be noon on Saturday at Belding High School Auditorium, 
850 Hall Street, Belding with Pastor Ken Harger of Shiloh Community Church 
officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memory Gardens, Belding. The 
family will receive relatives and friends from 2 to 4 and 6:30-8:30 p.m. on 
Friday at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, 203 Pleasant St., Belding. Memorial 
contributions may be made to the Belding High School Band.
