Ionia Sentinel Standard, 29 Feb 1940

Funeral services for Herbert Van Camp, 71, will be held Friday afternoon at the
home of his adopted daughter, Mrs. Mina Koutz of Odessa township at 2 o’clock
and at the United Brethren church in Lake Odessa at 2:30.  Burial will be at
Lakeside cemetery in Lake Odessa.

Mr. VanCamp died early Wednesday at the home of W.J. Desgranges in Lake Odessa,
where he had been ill for two weeks.  He was a former resident of Ionia, living
on West Lincoln avenue and left here about 10 years ago, residing for a time at
Dayton Center, before moving to the farm in Odessa where he has since lived.

He was born March 30, 1869, in Antrim county.  September 22, 1906, he married
Mrs. Clara Randall, whose death occurred April 21, 1938.

Surviving him are two sisters, Mrs. Rose Keller in the West and Mrs. Mina
Patterson of Grand Rapids and his adopted daughter, Mrs. Koutz.
