Vance of East Plains. Three children were born to this union, two of whom with four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren remain to mourn her loss. Her husband preceded her to the better land May 13, 1908, since which time she has made her home with her youngest daughter, Mrs. John Blakeslee of Carson City. She had been in failing health for some time and in spite of all that kind ministration could do, passed away on the evening of Sept. 6th, full of hope for her eternal home. The funeral services were held at the home of Mrs. J.H. Blakeslee Monday morning, Rev. V.H. Wade officiating. The remains were taken to East Plains cemetery for interment. – Carson City Gazette.
