Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Mon. Sept. 21, 1992

CARSON CITY- Jed Corey Vance, 70, of Hubbardston died Sunday at Carson City 
Hospital.

He was born Sept. 10, 1922, in Mt. Pleasant, the son of Corey and Elsie 
Thompson Vance. He was a 1939 graduate of Pewamo High School, and was retired 
from General Tire of Ionia. 

He was a veteran of World War II.

He was married to the former Irene Riley in 1953; she survives.

Also surviving are five daughters, Amy Vance of Lansing, Mrs. Tom (Sharon) 
Patterson of Bonita Springs, Fla., Mrs. Kennety (Norma) Coryell of Ionia; 
Margaret Lafler of Ionia, Mrs. Bud (Alice) Montgomery of Ionia, and Mrs. 
William (Judy) Beyer, also of Ionia; 21 grandchildren; and 14 great-
grandchildren. 

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. from Scnepp Funeral Home, Carson 
City, with the Rev. Dennis Rocker officiating.

Burial will be in East Plains Cemetery.

The family will be at the funeral home Monday and Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.

A memorial has been established for Ionia Area Hospice, in care of the funeral 
home.
