lake Odessa Wave - Friday June 30, 1905

EDWIN VANDECAR

Edwin Vandecar, an old resident of this county died at the home of is son-in-
law, Raul Hunt, June 25th, 1905 aged 87 years 4 months ad 7 days.

The funeral was held on Tuesday forenoon from the Wesleyan Methodist church at 
Clarksville, conducted by Rev. Remely and the remains laid to rest beside those 
of his wife, in the Clarksville cemetery.

Mr.Vandecar came with his family to Keene, this country in 1848, after living 
there for some time they moved to Campbell, where they lived until the death of 
the wife in 1889, then he went to live with his son-in-law Mr.Hunt, since making 
that his home.

Mr.Vandecar's death is due to paralysis, the last stroke attacking him, on 
Friday before his death.  

He was always a faithful Christian worker, and leaves a lot of old near and dear 
friends.
