Ionia Sentinel – Monday, 27 November 1899

Harriet R. beloved wife of Charles Vanderheyden, died at the home of her aunt, 
Mrs. Dr. S. M. Bayard, on Saturday evening, after an illness of long duration 
and great pain, which she endured, however, with much patience and fortitude, 
until the death of her son, which occurred so suddenly in September last.  
Mrs. Vanderheyden was aged 45 years.  Funeral services will be conducted at 
the above home, at 10:30 on Tuesday morning, by the Rev. W. H. B. Ureh, and at 
11:49 the remains of the dear mother will be taken to Grand Haven and be given 
interment beside her son.
