The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, August 22, 1938

Emma, daughter of the late Samuel E. and Abbie Tucker, died Tuesday at her 
home in Ensley township, Newaygo county, after a long illness.  She was born 
in South Boston about 62 years ago.  She leaves her husband, Herman 
Vanderhoof, one son, Enos Miller, of Grand Rapids, one daughter, Kittie, two 
sisters, Mrs. Nina Lake and Mrs. Lucinda Courter of Saranac; five brothers, 
John of Lowell and George and Ernest of South Boston, Newell of Saranac and 
Ed. of Clarksville.  Funeral services were held Thursday at the Ensley M. E. 
church with burial at Cedar Springs cemetery.  She formerly lived in Saranac 
and Keene.
