VANDERWALL, MIRIAM EILEEN (LAKE)(PRATT)(MRS. CLAIR)(MRS. RALPH):
   IONIA SENTINEL-STANDARD, MI; October 11, 2005, p. 2:  "Obituaries - Miriam
Eileen VanderWall, age 87, of Haslett, passed away Oct. 10, 2005 in Montrose.
   She was born July 3, 1918 in Carr Settlement, the daughter of Roy and Emma
(Sims) Lake.  She graduated from Belding High School in 1936.
   Miriam lived in Carr Settlement, Saranac, Belding, Alma, Haslett and
Montrose.  She was a member of Alma Methodist Church and the Portland VFW.  She
was a former 4-H leader.
   Miriam is survived by her loving daughters, Beverly A. and Michael Hamilton
of Flushing, Linda K. and James Hock of Portland, Carol S. and Len VanderJagt of
Okemos, seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
   She was preceded in death by three brothers, one sister, and two husbands,
Clair Pratt in 1959 and Ralph VanderWall in 1974.
   Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday at Lake Funeral Home in Saranac
with Rev. John Madvig officiating.  Interment in Saranac Cemetery.
   The family will receive friends and relatives Thursday at 11 a.m. until time
of service at the funeral home.
