Ellen Rose (van Nieuwenhuyzen) Vander Yacht, 79, of Zeeland, died Sunday Oct. 
21, 2007.

Ellen was a member of North Street Christian Reformed Church. She worked for 
the Ionia County Courthouse and Ionia Public Schools for many years.

Ellen is preceded in death by her first husband, Len van Nieuwenhuyzen, two 
sons Tristan and Mark Vorase, a daughter Diane Vorase and her brother John 
Pline.  She is survived by her husband Dale Vander Yacht; her children, Gwen 
and Ronald Larmore of Clermont Fla., Colleen van Nieuwenhuyzen Christian of 
Lowell Mich., Christopher and Heidi van Nieuwenhuyzen of Hudsonville; six 
grandchildren; one great-grandchild; several stepchildren and step-
grandchildren; and a sister-in-law Catherine Pline of Lyons, Mich.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at North Street Christian 
Reformed Church, 20 E. Main Ave, Zeeland with Rev. John Klompien officiating. 
Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to the service. Memorial 
contributions may be made to Hospice of Holland or North Street Christian 
Reformed Church. Arrangements are by the Yntema Funeral Home, 251 S State St., 
Zeeland, Mich.
