Hasting's Reminder - Saturday April 29, 2023

                           Jill VanDeVelde

Jill VanDeVelde, age 75, of Lake Odessa,MI passed away on Saturday, April 22, 
2023.

Jill was born in Lansing,MI on February 15, 1948 to Charles and Patricia (Walsh) 
Swift. She was a lifelong Lake Odessa Resident. Jill was a very caring 
individual taking joy in caring for family and friends, along with working with 
the Right to Life Group, and was a member of St.Edwards Church.Jill enjoyed her 
flowers, especially orchids, and keeping many plants alive longer than what her 
family thought possible.

Jill is survived by her husband of 57 years, Mick VanDeVelde; her son, Michael 
VanDeVeide (April); and her daughter, Cathy Lum (Jon); six grandchildren; three 
great-grandchildren; siblings Pamela Tingley, Bob Tingley (Jolene); sister-in-
law, Karol Swift along with many nieces, nephews and many friends.

Jill was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Mary VanDeVelde; 
brothers, Kelly Walkington and Tom Swift sister-in-law, Kelly Tingley.

A funeral Mass was held at St.Edwards Catholic Church i Lake Odessa on 
Wednesday, April 26, 2023 with burial taking place in Lakeside Cemetery in Lake 
Odessa,MI.

Donations to Right to Life, St.Edwards Church or VFW Post 4461 Ladies Auxiliary 
would be appreciated.
