Mrs. Laura Vandewater died at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and 
Mrs. Cecil Morris of Saranac, at 8 o’clock Thursday morning.  Mrs. Vandewater 
was born January 1, 1867, in Owosso, where she lived until coming to the home 
of her daughter in 1946.  Her husband, E. P. Vandewater, preceded her in death 
in 1937.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Cecil (Katherine) Morris of Saranac, and one 
sister, Mrs. Sam Miller of Ft. Scott, Kansas.

Funeral service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Morris funeral home in 
Saranac, with the Rev. Glenn McCarty officiating.  Interment is to be in Oaks 
Hill cemetery in Owosso.
