Ionia Daily Standard, 12 Jun 1952

Mrs. Nellie VanDuzer, 84, died at 7:25 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, at the Ionia 
Rest Home.  She was admitted to the rest home first in January, 1951, and after 
being a patient only six days, went to Des Moines, Iowa, to live for nearly a 
year with a niece.  She returned to Ionia and was re-admitted to the rest home 
on January 28.

She was born November 20, 1867, in Jonesville, N.Y.  She lived on Harter 
street, Ionia, for many years.  She was a widow of Egbert VanDuzer.  She was a 
life member of the O.E.S. and an active member of the White Shrine where she 
was American flag bearer for many years.

Sole survivors are nieces and nephews.

The body reposed at the Myers funeral home.  Thursday afternoon it was sent to 
Des Moines, Iowa, where services will be conducted Saturday afternoon at the 
home of a niece, Mrs. Virgil Gibson.  Burial will be in Des Moines.
