The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, December 29, 1969
Funeral services for Rex Ralph Van Dyne, 76, were Monday at 2 p.m. at Shaw 
Rivett Hull funeral home.  Rev. Alfred Tripp of Lyons United Methodist church 
officiated and interment was at Muir cemetery.

Mr. Van Dyne of 268 South Tabor, Lyons died Saturday morning at Ionia County 
Memorial hospital shortly after admittance.  He was born April 3, 1893 in 
Ohio, the son of Jason and Lydia Van Dyne and came to Michigan in 1915.

In 1917 he was married in Ithaca to Marian Bennett who survives.  They moved 
to Lyons in 1929.  He was a retired employee of Ionia Manufacturing company 
and was sexton of the Lyons cemetery for a number of years.

Besides his wife he leaves a son, Earl of Lyons, and daughter, Mrs. Evelyn 
Erridge of Portland; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Bearers were Mitchell, James, Charles, Jerry and Jack Bennett and Herbert 
Anderson.
