Ionia Sentinel-Standard – Mon. Jan. 20, 1969

BELDING- Mrs. Florence VanGilder, 70, of 107 ½ East Main, Belding, died Sunday 
in Belding Community hospital after a lingering illness.

Born in Smyrna, August 29, 1898, she made her home in the Belding area most of 
her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray VanGilder, who died in 
1949. They were married in Talmyra, Mo., September 5, 1941.

Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Bernice Foss, Belding and one brother, Frank 
Richmond, Sr., Smyrna.

The body is at Huffman funeral home in Belding, where services will be 
Wednesday at 2 pm with the Rev. Kent Troyer of Smyrna Gospel church officiating.

Burial will be in River Ridge cemetery, Belding.
