VanGilder to Be Buried Friday Raymond H. VanGilder died Tuesday evening at the Belding City Hospital where he had been a patient for two weeks. He was born May 4, 1891, at Coldwater and came here as a child with his parents, Irving and Nellie VanGilder. He was a stone cutter by trade, learning the business in the Clark Monument Works in this city. Later he worked for the J.H. Shell Monument Company in Ionia and for the past 10 years has been with the Lowell Monument Company, making his home at Murray lake. He was a veteran of World War I. Surviving are his wife, Florence, and his mother, Mrs. T.A. Vie, of this city. Funeral services will be held Friday at the Fitzjohn Funeral Home with Rev. H. S. Ellis officiating and burial will be in River Ridge cemetery. The grave-side service will be conducted by the American Legion. Pallbearers will be Walter Roth, Clarence Sparks, George Skellenger, Clyde Johnson, Paul Moran and Charles King.
