VanHeck aged 65 of Fenwick, passed away Saturday, May 13, 2006 at Metron of Greenville. She was born February 27, 1941 in Ionia to Arthur C. Reeder and Helen A. (Payne) Reeder. On April 23, 1960, Kathleen married Ellis D. VanHeck in Carson City. Mrs. VanHeck has been a resident of Fenwick since 2003 and was formerly a lifelong resident of Carson City where she was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She graduated from the Sheridan Rural Agricultural School in 1959 and retired from Electrolux in 1998. She is survived by her children, Joe and Sue VanHeck of Stanton, Raedine and Andrew VanBeelen of Manistee and Wanda VanHeck and Jim Myers of Fenwick; Grandchildren, Christa Zelinski, Randy Zelinski, T.J. Hutchison, Zachary Loudenslager, Brandon, Danielle and Michelle Ludwick and Jeramy VanHeck; one brother, Jim and Shirley Reeder of Ionia; four sisters, Joyce and Don Paulsen of Canton, Richard and Jackie Christiansen of Ionia, Jean and Gaylord Edgerly of Charlotte and GiGi Reeder of Carp Lake, Michigan; her godson, Jimmy Reeder and also several nieces and nephews. Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ellis D. VanHeck in January, 2002; a brother, John Reeder and a nephew, Tim Christiansen. Visitation will be on Monday, May 15, 2006 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, May 16, 2006, beginning at 11 a.m. at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan with Mr. Mike Montie officiating. Interment will be at the Mary Knoll Cemetery, Carson City, Michigan. For those desiring to do so, the family has suggested memorial considerations to either the Great Lakes Renal Network or the Carson City Hospital. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
