Carley Vanhetloo, age 76, of Belding, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2003 at the 
Ingham County Medical Care Facility in Okemos.  Mrs. Vanhetloo was born 
February 10, 1927 in Ionia the daughter of Paul and Edna (Olney) Warden.  
Carley was an avid golfer and also enjoyed playing bridge.

She is survived by her daughters, Leanne (Morrey) Whitmore and Virginia (Jose) 
Garcia; grandchildren, Jose Garcia III, Nicole Garcia, Brian Whitmore, and Jim 
Whitmore; great grandson, Benjamin Whitmore.  She was preceded in death by her 
husband, Gordon “Van” Vanhetloo on May 13, 1986; son John Vanhetloo; brother, 
Dick Warden.

A memorial service will be held 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral 
Home, Cook Chapel, 220 Rich Street, Ionia, with Pastor Stephen Ezop 
officiating.  Interment will be in Easton Cemetery.  For those desiring, 
memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice, 700 W. Ash Street, 
Mason, MI  48854, in memory of Carley Vanhetloo.
