Ezra VanHorn, 76, who was in an auto accident a few miles from his home near 
Sparta on Monday of last week, was so seriously injured that he passed away on 
Friday.

He was a resident of this city in his earlier life and was married to Frankie 
Canfield who survives.  They had lived at Muskegon for many years before his 
retirement when they moved to their present home.

Survivors, besides his wife is one daughter, Mrs. Leonard (Viva) Downs and two 
grandchildren of near Sparta.

Funeral services were held Monday at Hessell Funeral Home at Sparta and the 
burial was in the old Belding cemetery.  After the service here, the relatives 
and out-of-town friends were entertained for lunch at the home of Mr. and Mrs. 
Spencer Cornell.
