The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Saturday, January 11, 1969
Grayce A. VanHouten, 78, died Friday at the Provincial House in East Lansing, 
where she had been a patient the past several months.  She was born June 8, 
1890 at Fallasburg, the daughter of Fred and Clara Hooper and was the widow of 
Forest E. VanHouten.  She was employed for 30 years in Lansing by the Credit 
Union before retiring two years ago.

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Pearl L. Huested of Muir and Mrs. Mabel S. 
Pawson of Lansing; one brother, Glenn D. Hooper who is a former resident of 
Ionia now spending the winter at Hot Springs, Calif.

Mr. VanHouten is at the Estes-Leadley funeral home in Lansing.
