June 12, 1908 Rriscilla L. Loveridge was born in Fayette, Seneca Co, New York, March 14th 1843 where she lived with her parents until July 2nd, 1850 when she was united in marriage to Delos VanHouten at the age of 13 years. they made their home in Romulus, Seneca Co., New Your until September 1865 when they came to Michigan and settled on a farm in Odessa, where they have since lived until about two years ago. She was stricken with paralysis last November since which time she has gradually failed until her death which occurred at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Samuel Snyder in Sebewa, June 6th 1908. To this union was born ten children four of whom died in infancy. She leaves to mourn her loss a husband and six children v/z: Mrs. John Curtis of Kalamo, Mrs. Lester Durkee and Mrs. Samuel Snyder of Sebewa and Archie and Roy VanHouten and Mrs. Oscar Grey of Odessa and also three sisters living in New York. She was a faithful wife and an affectionate mother and a patient sufferer in her afflictions and had faith in a loving heavenly Father and resigned herself to death in the hope of a future life and the meeting with loved ones in the great beyond. The funeral was held from the M.E. church in the village Tuesday afternoon, Rev. Luther officiating. Additional Comments: Mrs. Delos H.
