Ionia Shopper's Guide Sat. November 27, 2021

VANHOUTEN
Patricia Louise VanHouten age 78 of Ionia MI. passed away Saturday, November 20, 
2021. She was born on July 26, 1943 in Portland,MI the daughter of William and 
Thelma (Catlin) Piercefield. Patricia married David VanHouten on September 12, 
1963. 

Patricia enjoyed hunting, quilting and going o church.She loved her family and 
her grandchildren.

Surviving are her children,Mark (Marion) VanHouten and Rebecca (John) Nurenberg 
grandchildren Katie (JJ) Murphy and Nathan (Andria) Palcowski; great-
grandchildren Austin, Caleb, and Bryce; sisters Wilma Waters,Janet King and 
Bonnie (Willard) Kinsman. She was preceded in death by her parents William and 
Thelma, husband David and 9 brothers and sisters.

A memorial service will be held at Zion United Methodist Church on January 15, 
2022 at 10:00 AM with a luncheon to follow. The family would like to send a 
special Thank you to Green Acres of Ionia. Those wishing may make memorial 
contributions to Zion Food Pantry or Interim Hospice. Arrangements in care of
