Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 21 May 1942

Funeral services for Jay VanSickle, 57, for 20 years and Ionia business man and
a partner in the M.C. Stout Elevator of Ionia, were held from the Boynton
funeral home Wednesday at 3 p.m. with Rev. Henry A. Hanson of the Episcopal
church officiating.  Burial was in Highland Park cemetery.  Pallbearers were
A.W. Wright, H.H. Darling, Sterry Stout, Dr. J.J. McCann, Chandler Haight, and
James Nichols.

Relatives and friends who attended the services from away were Mr. and Mrs.
Charles VanSickle, Mr. and Mrs. Don VanSickle Mrs. Frank Schlicht, and Mrs.
Louis Bell all of Detroit; Dr. and Mrs. C.H. Baker of Bay City; Mr. and Mrs.
Leonard Nufer, William McKinstry, Miss Jean McKinstry all of Lansing; Mr. and
Mrs. L. Vandermate of Grand Rapids; Mr. and Mrs. Howard Duhram of Casnovia.  Out
of town elevator men who attended were J.N. Bolinger of Lansing, John Keefe of
Grand Rapids, Mr. and Mrs. William Davarn of Pewamo, Bert Post of Charlotte,
C.C. Runciman and Mr. Doyle of Lowell and Edward Woodruff.
