Eugene C. VanSiclen, 70, of Sunfield passed away on Monday, Jan. 7, 2013. He 
was born Oct. 19, 1942 in Lake Odessa the son of Clark and Doris VanSiclen.

Gene was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Vietnam War. He 
loved “old” country music and watching sports, especially the Lions. Gene 
retired from G.M. after 25 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, two sisters and his 
wife Sandra Kay VanSiclen.

Surviving are his children: Kim Austin, Cheyenne VanSiclen (John Hobart), Terry 
(Rachel) VanSiclen, Randy (Trina) VanSiclen, Jason(Melinda Voeks) VanSiclen, 
and Kevin VanSiclen (Trina Perry); grandchildren, Leslie and Matt Austin, 
Brandon, Sabrina, Rusty, Dalton, Mareesa, Maximus and Sam Hain VanSiclen, 
Johnny Hobart Jr., and Yasmine Manning and a great grandchild Peyton VanSiclen; 
mother-in-law, LaDonna Burhans; several brothers and sisters-in-law.

The Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Jan. 11, 2013 at the 
Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge St., Portland. Inurnment will be in Portland 
Cemetery. The family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at 
the funeral home.
