She was born in Portland, Michigan on November 27, 1950 to LaDonna and Rodney Burhans. She was preceded in death by her sister, JoAnn Zimmerman; her sister-in-law, Patsy Burhans; her two brothers, David and Lyle Burhans; and her father Rodney Burhans. She is survived by her mother, LaDonna Burhans; her brothers, Charlie, Richard, Michael (Judy) Burhans, Ronald (LouAnn) Burhans, Rodney (Stephanie McLaughlin), Keith Burhans (Amy Martin); and sisters, Carolyn (Laverne) Ely, and Anna Repsher; husband of 45 years, Gene VanSiclen; her daughters, Kim Austin and Cheyenne VanSiclen (John Hobart); her sons, Terry (Rachel) VanSiclen, Randy (Trina) VanSiclen, Jason (Melinda Voeks), and Kevin VanSiclen (Trina Perry); her grandchildren, Leslie and Matt Austin, Brandon, Sabrina, Rusty, Dalton, Mareesa, Maximus and Sam Hain VanSiclen, Johnny Hobart Jr. and Yasmie Manning; and great-grandchild, Peyton VanSiclen. She loved Harley Davidsons and to ride motorcycles, she was a collector of many different items, Elvis Presley was one of her favorite musicians, and she loved every member of her family. Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Dr. Marilyn V. Danielson at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 6, 2012 at the Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge St., Portland. The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Donations can be taken at the Lehman Funeral Home and will be given to the American Cancer Society on her behalf.
