Lake Odessa Wave, 1 Mar 1944

Mrs. Myrtle Silsbee VanTifflin, 58, died early Sunday morning at her home here
after a long illness.  She was born at Hastings on May 9, 1885, and was married
to George H. VanTifflin on December 25, 1907, and lived in Hastings until coming
to Lake Odessa in 1924. 

Surviving besides the husband, are a son Richard of Huston, Texas, a brother
Glendon and a sister Mrs. Earl Boyes, both in Hastings, and a granddaughter
Rosemary.

Funeral services were held from the late home Tuesday afternoon with the Rev.
J.W. Winger, pastor of the Lake Odessa Congregational church, officiating. 
Burial was in Lakeside cemetery.  Pall bearers were Dr. Charles H. Peabody,
Edwin Shellhorn, Howard F. Kelley, Henry Edgar, Forrest E. Branch and Alton L.
Nye.
