The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Wednesday, January 2, 1946
Mrs. George VanTisslin, Lake Odessa, 67, died Sunday morning at the home of 
her daughter, Mrs. Richard VanTisslin at Houston, Texas where she and her 
husband had been visiting for a week.  Mrs. VanTisslin was the wife of William 
Shedhorn who died in 1937.  He was an Odessa supervisor.  In August 1944 she 
married George VanTisslin of Lake Odessa.  She was a member of the Methodist 
church and Eastern Star.  She is survived by her husband; her daughter, Mrs. 
Richard VanTisslin and a granddaughter, Rose Mary.  Funeral services will be 
Thursday at 2 o’clock from the Pickens Brothers funeral chapel in Lake Odessa.
