Clifford “Cliff” H. VanValkenburg Jr., 50 of Harrison passed away Wednesday, 
March 2, 2011 at his home. Cliff was born Feb. 9, 1961 in Boston, Mass., the 
son of Clifford H. VanValkenburg Sr and Rosana Helen (Fay) VanValkenburg.

Mr. VanValkenburg had resided in Harrison since 1981, coming from Saranac. 
Cliff was employed with Metavation Innovative Machining Solutions of Mt. 
Pleasant. In his free time, Cliff enjoyed fishing, hunting and carpentry work.

Surviving Cliff is his son, Dale Harding and his girlfriend, Jamie Stacy of 
Harrison; two sisters, Carla VanValkenburg of Ionia and Deborah Aldrich and 
husband Steve of Lake Odessa; three brothers, Mark H.VanValkenburg of Clare, 
Eric VanValkenburg and wife Heather of Lake Odessa, and Arthur McVicor of 
Harrison; one granddaughter, Katelyn Marie Harrison of Grayling; four nieces, 
Sarah VanValkenburg of Lake George, Brooke VanValkenburg of Lake Odessa, Haley 
VanValkenburg of Lake Odessa and Taylor VanValkenburg, also of Lake Odessa; two 
nephews, Steven Aldrich of Hudsonville and Matthew Aldrich and wife Regan of 
Clarksville; one great-niece, Matti Aldrich of Clarksville; one great-nephew, 
Steven Aldrich, also of Clarksville; plus many cousins and friends.

Mr. VanValkenburg was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, James 
Michael VanValkenburg.

Funeral services for Mr. Vanvalkenburg will be held 11 a.m. Friday, March 4, 
2011 from Stocking Fundral Home, Harrison, with pastor Jim Young officiating. 
Visitation for Cliff took place from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, March 3 at Stocking 
Funeral Home, Harrison. Burial for Cliff will be in Pleasant Plains Cemetery, 
Harrison.
