Mr. VanVleck had long been an invalid from a heart affliction, and while death was expected as likely to occur at any time, it nevertheless came shockingly without warning. Deceased was born in Delaware county, new York, near Middleton, on October 22, 1824. Peter VanVleck came to Michigan with his parents, in 1838, when there were only two other families in the township. The family came direct to this country from New York; and settled upon a tract of 320 acres of land in the territory which is now Ronald township, the land being purchased the year before. This land, with other added to it from time to time, has been occupied continuously by the family throughout all these years. Funeral at residence at 2 p.m. (sun time) on Wednesday.
